Renee Brooks is the Owner of Brooks Books, a small bookkeeping boutique who works with small businesses and entrepreneurs to help businesses wrangle every aspect of their accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.
She believes many small businesses have more money than they think they do. She will help them find it, while also helping them avoid bigger financial problems, and at a fair cost. She finds that small business owners shy away from accounting and numbers because they don’t understand it. She educates her clients and help them understand their books, so the numbers aren’t so scary.
Renee has worked with clients who have shoeboxes full of receipts, years of unfiled taxes, with unreconciled bank and credit card statements. She whips their books into shape, gets them caught up on all their business taxes, helps them avoid further costs and penalties, and eventually saves them money.
Renee has over 35 years working in finance and accounting. She earned her Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, and Finance from McMorris College. Renee is a ProElite Advisor with QuickBooks. She a member of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, and is the Secretary of the Southlake Business Success Group.
Outside of her passion for numbers, Renee is pursuing her childhood dream of becoming a lawyer. She runs Rebels for a Cause, scheduling monthly fundraiser events to raise money for local non-profits. Renee also accepts donations for Homeless No More, so if you have old blankets and coats, she will be glad to pick them up from you.
